Liz Trifone is Senior Vice President and the Director of SBA Lending, and manages the 504 loan program. Liz also manages conventional government-backed loan guarantees for general business purposes. Liz joined CDC New England/BDC Capital in 1985 to expand the government lending programs after many years as a lending officer at the US Small Business Administration. She earned a B.S. cum laude in business administration from Northeastern University.

Connie Karsh, Business Development Officer, covers the State of Connecticut focusing on SBA 504 loans for CDC New England. Connie has over 14 years of experience in the Finance and Telecommunications industries. She is an expert in SBA 504 loans having worked at two SBA 504 Certified Development Companies (CDCs) in other states. Prior to 1998, Connie owned her own successful furniture business – earning the award of SBA Small Business Person of the Year. Given her personal business experience and her extensive knowledge of the SBA 504 program, Connie offers a wealth of expertise to both bankers and businesses.

Carol is the Director of Business Development for CDC New England. She is responsible for keeping the CDC New England name before the business, banking, and investment communities. Carol is a board member of the New England Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA) and the Westmass Area Development Corporation.
Carol has been with CDC New England/BDC Capital since January of 1998. Her professional career extends over 25 years during which she has held positions with a finance and marketing consulting firm, an injection molding company, and a computer manufacturer. She earned a B.A. in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a master’s degree in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

John C. Figmic is Vice President for Business Development covering eastern Massachusetts. John has over 15 years experience in banking and lending. He spent most of his career with GE Commercial Finance, where he most recently served as Vice President, Senior Account Executive responsible for business development focusing on commercial real estate and equipment financing. He also held positions as a credit officer and commercial lender with USTrust Bank. John graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and has earned an MBA from Suffolk University.

Nancy M. Gibeau, Vice President of Business Development, covers the state of Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Nancy has over fourteen years of experience in banking and lending. She most recently served as the Senior Manager of Lending Services for the New Bedford Economic Development Council. Prior to that, she was a Small Business Lender for Compass Bank for Savings. Nancy graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth with a B.S. in Management.

Ray previously served as Vice President, Commercial Lending Division, at North Shore Bank for 7 years and Danvers Bank for 18 years. His background includes extensive experience in both C&I and commercial real estate lending. He was an SBA specialist at both banks. Ray earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Keene State College, Keene, NH.
