When a utility contractor was looking to acquire the assets of an asphalt plant, it turned to CDC New England to fulfill its financing needs. We operated in conjunction with our affiliate, BDC Capital, and a local bank to provide the company with a complete solution. The bank and CDC provided the financing to acquire the property by utilizing the SBA 504 Program. The equipment was financed through the Massachusetts Recycling Loan Fund, a program managed by BDC Capital on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The RLF offers businesses in recycling-related industries the opportunity to obtain low, fixed interest rate financing that might not otherwise be available. Our ability to offer the company alternative financing outside of conventional sources helped simplify the acquisition process and enabled the company to quickly and easily obtain its financing needs.
